The Turkish office of forwarder QualitAir&Sea – a member of the X2 network of logistics companies – recently operated one of the longest ever charter routes with perishable cargo when it moved 40 tons of frozen peaches from China to Mexico, a distance of 7,982 miles.
It hired a B777-200F cargo aircraft and the cargo was packed in Envirotainers filled with dry ice, topped up during a technical stop at Dubai.
Peaches are an important ingredient in Mexican iced tea.
