Cargo at Dubai International airport was up 7.6% in October at 215,714 tonnes compared with 200,435 tonnes in the same month last year. Year-to-date traffic totalled 2.07 million tonnes, up 3.1% from 2.01m tonnes in the first ten months of last year.

Passengers were up 4.4% in October, and aircraft 6.5% during the month.

Dubai Airports chief executive, Paul Griffiths said: “Traffic continues its steady climb as we approach the end of what will be another record year for both cargo and passenger numbers.”
