Former Cargolux chief executive Dirk Reich’s aviation consultancy is planning to open offices in Zhengzhou and Luxembourg at the start of next year.

The company, R+R International Aviation, will provide senior advice and investments in the fields of aviation, logistics, e-commerce and China with its current core activity being the promotion of cross border investments between the Henan province and Europe.

Dirk Reich holds the position of founder and chairman, while Julia Reich is listed as chief executive, Elke Reich chief financial officer and Axel Reich as the Germany representative.

Reports in Luxembourg Wort say the company has existed for some time but has now been reactivated.

“Should you look for the market access in mainland China or an introduction to Chinese Investors in Europe, R+R is your perfect partner, based on many years of practical experience and successful business development as well as a wide network of excellent relationships in China,” the company’s website states.

Its services include board level advice through board memberships and strategic board level and merger and acquisition advice, research and development, direct investments and introductions to Chinese and Luxembourg based private equity groups and start up and growth advice.

The company’s focus on developing cross border investment with the Henan province should come as no great shock as Reich played an instrumental role in the establishment of Cargolux China.

The Zhengzhou–based airline, due for launch over the next couple of years, depending on approvals, is 35% owned by Cargolux with Henan Civil Aviation Development and Investment Co (HNCA) taking a 49% stake, and with both Xin Gang Investment & Development Co of Zhengzhou Airport Comprehensive Economic Experimental Zone and the Henan Airport Group holding 8% each.

Reich stepped down from his position at Cargolux at the start of the summer for personal reasons. He was replaced by chief financial officer Richard Forson.
