DHL Express has improved its carbon efficiency by 12% year on year in the Asia Pacific region despite a growth in volume of about 10%.
In 2014, the global parcel and freight giant saw its CO2 efficiency over 2013 improve across the region, with savings of 21% in Malaysia, 15% in India and 14% in Taiwan.
To date, Deutsche Post DHL Group, the parent company of DHL, has achieved a 23% improvement in its carbon efficiency against its 2007 baseline.
