Delta Cargo has gained approval to carry the Envirotainer RAP e2 active container on its domestic and international widebody aircraft.
The carrier, which recently achieved IATA CEIV certification, says the new unit is ideal for shipments requiring strict temperature control between +0°C and +20°C.
The new container expands flight options beyond those using the Envirotainer RAP t2, as it does not require dry ice as a coolant and also provides significantly more capacity than the Envirotainer RKN e1.
Delta aircraft can also carry CSafe and the entire Envirotainer active container line including the e1&e2 containers and 5 va-q-tec passive containers.
