Freight forwarder DB Schenker has opened a new air cargo facility in Eindhoven, the Netherlands to strengthen its operational network within Europe's air cargo supply chain.

The freight forwarder said the energy-efficient facility, built with sustainability, in mind was opened on June 8.

"With its strategic location, cross-dock operation and good connections to the airports of Brussels, Maastricht, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Luxembourg, this facility is optimally equipped for handling goods from the high-tech and semiconductor industries," said DB Schenker in a LinkedIn post.

Earlier this month, DB Schenker acquired logistics software provider Bitergo to strengthens its digital strategy and move towards cloud-based software for small and medium-sized customers.
