Time-critical logistics group DANX Carousel has acquired UK-based Logik Logistics International to expand its services and its network across Europe.
The group said the acquisition would enhance its round-the-clock services on-demand/ad-hoc cross-border logistics, including express road, airfreight, aircraft charter, On Board Courier (OBC) and specialised handling for time-critical shipments.
Lars Ryssel, managing director, western Europe, DANX Carousel, explained: "Logik's expertise and round-the-clock availability will enable us to deliver even greater value and efficiency to our clients across Europe, regardless of the time or urgency. We welcome Logik Logistics International to the Carousel family."
Logik specialises in the automotive, aerospace, carbon composite, retail, pharmaceutical, publishing and marine sectors and its customers range from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to companies needing urgent medical shipments and ship spares.
Logik managing director David York will remain with the company to "ensure a smooth transition and drive continued growth within the expanded group".

This is the firm's second acquisition this month as Danx Carousel recently announced the purchase of Danish logistics firm TLS.
