Danske Bank Markets says that airfreight volume is on the increase. Its European Freight Forwarding Airfreight index now stands at 63, indicating an increase compared with two months ago.

Expectations for airfreight came in at 69, thus indicating that volumes will continue to increase in the coming two months, said the bank.

The overall index – covering sea and road freight, as well as air – also indicates an increase in volumes in October compared with two months ago. The overall index was 60 compared with last month’s figure of 62, and compared with 56 in October 2016.

Figures suggest an increase in volumes in the coming two months.
