Coyne Airways is resuming direct freighter flights between Germany and Georgia after an 11 month hiatus as a result of the Covid outbreak.
The carrier resumed flights to Tbilisi on April 11 when a 30-tonne capacity Boeing 757 freighter took off from Cologne.
The new service will operate on a weekly rotation, departing from the German airport on Sunday mornings.
Coyne said it stopped flying to Georgia in May last year when the Covid-19 outbreak caused demand changes in the western Caspian Sea and eastern Black Sea areas, although it continued to service customers by road from Yerevan.
After landing in Tbilisi the service continues to Zvartnots International Airport in Armenia.
"Coyne Airways accepts cargo in Cologne and operates scheduled trucks from several European gateways to connect with the flight, including London (LHR), Paris (CDG), Frankfurt (FRA) and Amsterdam (AMS)," the airline said.
