Corporate jet charter firm KlasJet has added cargo services to its portfolio by collaborating with cargo airline BlueBird Nordic.

KlasJet will utilise BlueBird Nordic's recently acquired Boeing 737-300 (LY-MRN) to carry out cargo services.

KlasJet’s cargo services will include transportation of the majority of items, including automotive parts, furniture, electronics and kinds that may require special care, are subject to specific regulations or need to be delivered in a timely manner.

"The alliance of KlasJet’s experience providing the highest quality services, planning difficult, time-critical routes and BlueBird Nordic’s experience in air cargo sector benefit each other expanding the opportunities that private charter can offer," the companies said in a statement.

KlasJet said it had already provided repatriation and humanitarian flights in response to the pandemic.

"Adding cargo services means responding to the currently rising demand in the market, which will be of use when transporting a team of medics, who require special gear, carried together with them, larger amounts of medical supplies, personal protective equipment and other," the company added.

KlasJet said that is would continue its usual operations, except from now on its clients will have access to additional advantages. For instance, music bands, performers and a variety of other professionals will now be able to carry the necessary equipment along with them without having to arrange separate transportation.
