Chinese freighter operator Uni-top Airlines is to inaugurate a service connecting Kunming, China, with the Middle Eastern gateway of Dubai.

The link is expected to operate three times a week with a Boeing 747-200 freighter.

Formally established in 2007, Wuhan-headquartered Uni-top took delivery of its first aircraft (a B747-200SF) in 2009 but didn’t actually begin flying until 2011. It operates scheduled and non-scheduled cargo services.

Uni-top Airlines was created as an airfreight carrier – the first to be based in Wuhan – by Uni-top Industrial Co, a Shenzhen-based logistics company.

The carrier operates a fleet of B747-200 and Airbus A300-600 freighters.
