China Airlines Cargo has launched a new Taipei – Mumbai freighter service.
One of the Taiwanese carrier’s Boing 747-400 freighters landed in the Indian city on Saturday on the inaugural connection that will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The aircraft will fly from Taipei to Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport twice a week, before continuing on to Amsterdam. The return leg will depart from Amsterdam to return to Taipei via Mumbai.
China Airlines also flies to India on a Taipei – Delhi – Luxembourg routing.
China Airlines currently operates an all-cargo fleet of 18 B747-400 freighters. Complementing the cities on this latest routeing, it also flies to the following freight-only destinations: Luxembourg, Dubai, Anchorage, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, Seattle, Houston, Atlanta and Columbus.
It also has available to it the belly cargo holds of the carrier’s B777 and Airbus A350 passenger aircraft.
