GLOBAL broker Chartersphere has helped to deliver urgent humanitarian aid to the troubled Central African Republic.

The landlocked tiny nation, which borders Chad in the north, and Sudan in the north-east, has been in the grip of inter-ethnic violence between Christians and Muslims for the past 12 months.

Thousands of people have been killed, displaced or fled the impoverished country.

On behalf of The Red Cross charity, the charter specialist arranged a series of flights using an Aerospace One B747 to transport desperately needed vehicles and medicines to the nation’s capital city Bangui.

Nacho Carretero, cargo sales manager for Chartersphere, observes: “These are much-needed consignments that will help some of the world’s poorest people who are facing a very uncertain and dangerous future.”
