Chapman Freeborn has partnered with Ajex Logistics Services on cargo operations in Saudi Arabia as the charter firm looks to expand in the country.
The partnership will see the two firms collaborate to offer airport ground and cargo handling and management of special cargo projects.
The charter firm said it had decided to launch the partnership in response to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which aims to increase airfreight capacity in the country to 4.5m tonnes per year by 2030, including through the development of new airport infrastructure.
Chapman Freeborn said its increased service offering ”mirrors its commitment to the region, following significant investment in personnel” during the last couple of years.
Most recently, the company appointed Linas Dovydenas as president of India, Middle East and Africa in November.
“By combining our regional strengths with Chapman Freeborn’s extensive global network, we are committed to delivering enhanced aviation and cargo solutions that support the Kingdom’s ambitious growth objectives,” said Mohammed Albayati, chief executive, Ajex Logistics Services.
“This collaboration aligns with our mission to provide world-class aviation services and reflects our dedication to supporting the Kingdom’s Vision 2030,” said Gerhard Coetzee, vice president of cargo at Chapman Freeborn.
According to its website, Ajex Logistics Services offers express, freight forwarding, road frieght, e-commerce, warehousing and pharma & cold chain services.
