Air cargo charter software company Aerios has announced freighter operator Cargojet as the launch customer of its charter management system app.
Aerios said that the airline had participated in its alpha testing programme and after ”extensive trials” opted to integrate the Carrier App into its operations.
The app integrates with flight operations, customer relationship management (CRM) and communication systems to create a single workflow and is designed to increase efficiency by automating manual, repetitive tasks.
The software firm said the app resulted in faster responses to charter requests and is expected to improve quote conversion rates.
“Cargojet’s early adoption and feedback have been invaluable in shaping the Aerios Carrier App,” said Aerios founder Simon Watson. ”The alpha programme and partnership with the Cargojet team has been an incredible journey.
“Cargojet is the first of a long line of carriers to go live with the Carrier App, and I look forward to announcing more partner airlines in the near future.”
In a press release, the company said that the app will provide users with access to internal data and reporting to help identify opportunities with new or existing clients; support business development with existing clients and identify the nature of lost opportunities.
Aerios launched its Carrier App in September of last year.
The Carrier App is the first of a series of Aerios products for the wider charter market to help carriers distribute their capacity to market.
The app is not Watson’s foray into the world of cargo charter software. In 2019, he launched online charter flight booking portal CharterSync along with Ed Gillett.
