Singapore Changi Airport saw airfreight throughput grow 11.2% in July to reach 179,550 tonnes, compared with the same month last year.
For the current year to date, the key Asian hub has seen a 7.5% increase in cargo volumes to just under 1.2m tonnes for the first seven months of 2017.
If that rate of increase were to continue over the remainder of this year, then Changi is on course by the end of 2017 to pass the 2m tonnes barrier for the first time.
