Collaboration between business and government on the digitisation of the economy was one of the topics discussed when the Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Xavier Bettel, visited the headquarters of CHAMP Cargosystems.
The visit, which marks the Luxembourg-based company’s 15th anniversary, was hosted by chief executive Arnaud Lambert and members of CHAMP’s executive committee, as well as by shareholder representatives Richard Forson and Maxim Straus, chief executive and chief financial officer, Cargolux Airlines.
They all agreed that the various Ministries and business should be “excellent partners in tackling mutual challenges such as the digitisation of the economy and cyber security risks”. The meeting also addressed the importance of collaboration between the business players and the Government in the field of discovering and recruiting new IT talent.
As a leading solutions provider to airlines, ground handlers and freight forwarders, CHAMP was keen to share its knowledge with the Prime Minister who said he was inspired by the company’s innovation, sustainability, e-commerce and investments in the IT sector, and offered his support for further business development abroad.
