Honeywell Aerospace Trading (HAT) has appointed CEVA Logistics to operate its first distribution centre in the Asia Pacific region.
The bonded facility, located in Kuala Lumpur’s Bukit Jelutong Industrial Park, will house both raw materials and finished goods for export and local distribution. CEVA will also be one of the companies responsible for HAT’s airfreight and import management, co-packing and customs brokerage in Malaysia, a CEVA statement said.
HAT outlined: “In this new facility, we will stock a wide range of used, serviceable airframe components including APUs, avionics, mechanical components and other line replaceable units from B737, B777, A320 and other aircraft. HAT product offerings include reconditioned materials that were originally manufactured by Honeywell and other original equipment manufacturers.”
According to Elaine Low, CEVA executive vice president Southeast Asia: “CEVA Logistics has a good track record and longstanding working relationship with Honeywell globally and regionally, providing end-to-end supply chain solutions that allow it to improve efficiency and reduce costs. This new facility will be an extra operation.”
Within the region, CEVA already provides various logistics services to Honeywell in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.
