Caribbean Airlines Cargo has expanded its operations in the US, following the appointment of Network Cargo Management Corp as its GSSA on December 7.
The alliance between the companies enables Caribbean Cargo's customers to access shipping services for cargo originating from the US via several of cargo agents in the US.
Caribbean Cargo said its agreement with Network Cargo Management excludes Miami and New York which are the US's main gateways to the Caribbean.
"Sales and operations in these territories will continue to be managed by Caribbean Airlines Cargo," the carrier explained.
Caribbean Cargo operates weekly Boeing 767-300 freighter flights, offering 54 tonnes of capacity between Miami and several Caribbean destinations including: Trinidad, Georgetown, Kingston, Montego Bay and Barbados.
The carrier recently upped its freighter schedule from six to twelve weekly flights for peak season.
Additionally, Caribbean Airlines transports cargo in the belly of its Boeing 737-800 and ATR passenger aircraft to: Antigua, Nassau, St. Vincent, Grenada, St. Martin, St Lucia, Georgetown, Barbados, Kingston and Tobago.
The carrier also operates an air cargo charter service to support demand.
