Logistics provider cargo-partner has launched an emergency desk in Istanbul to facilitate the fast handling of time-critical shipments.
The desk, which is open 24/7, acts as a point of contact for cargo-partner's customers who are shipping time-critical cargo. It offers full and part charters, express pickup and delivery solutions, on-board-courier services and priority customs clearance.
Cargo-partner launched the emergency desk to help companies overcome the challenges of "interrupted supply chains and reduced transport capacities" that have arisen, it said, as a result of the Covid-19 crisis.
"When every second counts, our emergency team is there for our customers 24 hours a day," said Kursad Tanriverdi, managing director of cargo-partner Turkey.
"This way, we can ensure immediate availability and fast reaction times for urgent shipments and help our customers meet even the tightest deadlines."
Cargo-partner provides scheduled charter flights from China via Hong Kong to Europe. It has operated in Turkey since 2018 and has offices in Istanbul, Bursa, Izmir, Gaziantep and Mersin.
The company handles around 500 tonnes of airfreight each month — predominantly perishables, automotive parts, healthcare, personal protective equipment (PPE) and textiles — to destinations including Amman, Cairo, Chicago, Doha, New York JFK, Tel Aviv and Miami.
