Third-party logistics services provider C H Robinson is continuing to expand its worldwide freight forwarder network.
The 3PL recently opened new offices in Asia and Canada and also acquired APC Logistics, a Melbourne-headquartered provider of freight forwarding and customs brokerage services in the Australasia region.
These expansions have led to the creation of a number of new C H Robinson Global Forwarding division offices.
Newly opened office locations include Hanoi in Vietnam, Chengdu and Nanning in China, Ludhiana, Indore and Vizag in India, and Vancouver in Canada.
With the acquisition of APC Logistics, C H Robinson also added seven new office locations in Australia and two in New Zealand.
The company points to the continued globalisation of supply chains as being behind its decision to expand in key strategic global markets.
“As our customers are going global with their supply chains, we feel that it is crucial to have boots on the ground in those locations as well,” explained Mike Short, president of Global Forwarding.
“It is exciting to see our services and talent pool expanding in these strategic regions.”
Shipments organised across all of the company’s offices, including those branches acquired through the APC acquisition, will be integrated into the company’s proprietary technology platform, Navisphere, which offers shippers visibility on their cargo’s process through the delivery process.

C H Robinson is headquartered in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. With more than 13,000 employees based around the world, it made $13.5 billion in gross revenue in 2015.
