CARGOLUX has postponed the inauguration of its regular scheduled B747F services to Zhengzhou, the capital of Chinese province Henan.
The flights, which were due to begin on April 24, will now commence on May 29, because of “unforeseen procedural changes in the manner in which information has to be submitted to and approved by the relevant aviation authorities in China,” says a Cargolux statement.
“This delay is to enable the airline to finalise all regulatory requirements relating to the commencement of scheduled flights to Zhengzhou,” it adds.
Cargo booked on the flights affected are being re-routed on the carrier’s existing services into China, so that the impact on customers will be minimised.
“Whilst this delay in operations was unexpected, the demand for our Zhengzhou flights to date has proved to be robust,” it adds.
