Plane-maker Boeing has played tribute to Yusen Logistics (Americas) for its role in helping its own employees send relief shipments to the Charleston area after Hurricane Matthew struck the area earlier in October.

The forwarder coordinated supplies from Seattle and provided warehouse services, including receiving, sorting, labelling and re-packing, as well as delivery to Sea-Tac Airport. The goods included bottled water, diapers, blankets and sanitising wipes.

Yusen’s Seattle branch manager, Boris Poblete, said: “Yusen Logistics is proud to support Boeing, a long-time customer, as a partner in responding to Hurricane Matthew and assist with its relief efforts in Charleston. We hope our contribution helps Boeing employees, as well as the local community, realise a fast and safe recovery.”
