Bloemen, Reis Miranda and Wormer team up to launch new cargo consultancy

A new supply chain consultancy firm has been launched by industry veterans Marco Bloemen, Daniel dos Reis Miranda and Maarten Wormer.

The new company, Aevean, will offer "specialised consulting services and comprehensive market intelligence" for the aviation and logistics industries.

Aevean formed a strategic partnership with Atlas Air and will operate as a "fully independent consulting firm and bring together an elite team of consultants and analysts".

Bloemen began his career in cargo in 1992 at KLM where he worked in revenue management and has also worked for Seabury Group and Accenture.

According to a press release Bloemen is renowned as one of the top consultants in the air cargo and logistics sector.

Daniel dos Reis Miranda is managing director and began his career in aviation in 2001 at Schiphol Airport. He has been working at Seabury/Accenture for the last 10 years.

The press release describes him as having a strong background in developing market-leading analytical products, tools, and insights.

Maarten Wormer will take the role of head of consulting and has a "strong emphasis on value-add for his clients, oftentimes through application and development of decision-support tools".

Wormer began his aviation career in 2012 at Kenya Airways and has also worked at Accenture and Flyr.

"Collectively, the team has over 50 years of consulting experience, and has previously introduced state-of-the-art cargo market databases and optimisation tools well-known to the industry," the company said.
