Flughafen Brandenburg Berlin (FBB), which operates Berlin Schönefeld Airport and – through its subsidiary BFG – Berlin Tegel Airport, has released some healthy airfreight traffic statistics for October.
A total of 4,561 tons of air cargo was handled at Schönefeld and Tegel, an increase of 25.3% over the same month of 2015.
Air cargo traffic through Schönefeld reached 791 tons, 17.7 % up on October 2015, while Tegel handled 3,770 tons, up by 27 % year on year.
Between January and October, the two gateways in the German capital handled a total of 38,289 tons of air cargo. This figures represented an increase of 7.8 % over the same 10 months of 2015.
During those 10 months, 7,363 tons of air cargo were handled at Schönefeld (up by 10.8% year on year), with 30,926 tons (up by 7.1 %) passing through Tegel.
