US-based Precision Aircraft Solutions is to convert four B757 passenger aircraft into freighters for China’s SF Express Co, the Shenzhen-based logistics specialist and courier.
“We are thrilled to put the Precision capabilities to work for SF Express as it further develops its 757 fleet,” said Precision president Gary Warner.
The aircraft were previously owned by AerCap, the US-based aircraft leasing company with 1,800 owned, managed or ordered aircraft in its portfolio.
“Converting four aircraft in one calendar year requires real performance, and we are pleased that SF has confidence in Precision during this period of growth in their air operation.”
Three maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) specialists will be involved in the conversions. Air China Technics in Chengdu will handle one aircraft; HAECO in Xiamen will take on another, and US-based AeroTurbine will convert two.
