The aircraft will be operated by Atlas Air under an aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance (ACMI) agreement on a service operating between the US, Europe and Asia.
It will fly from Brussels to Oslo (to pick up seafood), before heading to Seoul, Shanghai and Cincinnati before heading back to Belgium.
William Flynn, president and chief executive officer, Atlas Air Worldwide, said: “DHL Global Forwarding is a leading service provider in the global airfreight industry, and we are delighted that they have chosen to partner with Atlas Air as they continue to innovate and develop new solutions for their customers.
“This agreement is a further testament to our strong focus on service quality and value-added solutions for our customers."
“We are excited to enter into this agreement with Atlas Air to provide our customers with a unique dedicated aircraft solution,” added Ingo-Alexander Rahn, executive VP global airfreight, DHL Global Forwarding. “We are looking forward to a long and successful partnership.”
This deal is not the first Atlas Air has struck with a freight forwarder, it also provides capacity to Panalpina for its freighter operation.
