Air traffic in Indonesia is being disrupted by an erupting volcano, which has led to five airports being shut including the major hub of Denpasar on Bali. According to the BBC, Mount Raung in East Java has been spewing ash into the air for nearly a week, and flights have been cancelled for safety reasons. Other affected airports are Lombok, Selaparang Blimbingsari and Notohadinegoro.
Flights from Australia to Bali have been cancelled and state airport operator Angkasa Pura was reported as saying that Denpasar would be closed until at least 21:30 local time today (10 July).
