Munich, Germany-headquartered multimodal freight forwarder alpha trans Luft- und Seefrachtspedition has named two joint managing directors to replace its one current managing director, Fred Eichenseher, who retires at the end of 2016.

Tim Teubert, one of the two joint MDs, has responsibility for the company’s ocean freight services and administration activities. And Rainer Hoermansperger has responsibility for air freight, networking and business development.

Both are long-standing employees of the company and already have senior managerial responsibilities, the company confirmed.

Eichenseher will retain a consultancy capacity for alpha trans after his official retirement at the end of this year.

As well as its home base in Munich, alpha trans Luft- und Seefrachtspedition has additional facilities in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Stuttgart. It is primarily active in the areas of air and sea freight forwarding, and customs clearance, and has a focus on the fashion, sport and leisure, electronics and luxury goods markets.
