Maastricht Aachen Airport (MST) is celebrating 35 years of handling Royal Jordanian’s cargo operations at the gateway.
Today, Jordan’s flag-carrier operates three or four full freighter flights each week to the Dutch air cargo hub.
Ibrahim Theodory, station manager, Royal Jordanian Maastricht, said: “The choice for Maastricht Aachen Airport was, and still is, crystal clear.
“The speed, service, and trust at the airport are of an exceptionally high level. Add to that the airport’s accessibility and the friendly staff, and you simply don’t want anything else.”
Dean Boljuncic, head of commercial development Maastricht Aachen Airport, added: “We are incredibly proud of this long-term partnership with Royal Jordanian.
“Every day, our team is very dedicated to give Royal Jordanian and all of our other client’s custom-made cargo handling services.”
Over 2024, MST recorded an on-time performance of over 98 percent for its cargo handling operations. It noted the industry benchmark for good performance currently being 95 percent.
Earlier this year, Atlas Air launched a new weekly air cargo route from MST to Asia (including China) on behalf of MSC Air Cargo.
MST confirmed the launch of the route in a press release on January 9. The first flight, operated with a one-year-old Boeing 777 freighter with MSC Air Cargo livery, departed from Almaty, Kazakhstan and landed at MST at 9.45pm on January 9.
