Air Partner's cargo division has transported 92 tonnes of humanitarian relief for people in Gaza, including blankets, fleeces and hygiene kits.

The operation encompassed three flights across three days using an Airbus A300 freighter from Brindisi (BDS) airport in Italy to Al Arish (AAC) airport in Egypt, carrying a total of over 39,000 relief items.

Organising flights to and from Al Arish airport can present operational challenges due to it being a small fuel storage facility military airport, explained Air Partner.

As only one fuelling truck is available, military flights are prioritised for fuel uplift. This means civilian flights are often subjected to refuelling delays.

"Despite such potential challenges, which are intensified during a time of conflict, Air Partner’s experienced cargo team was able to arrange refuelling and delivery of relief successfully and on time," said the charter company.

Pierre Van Der Stichele, vice president of global cargo at Air Partner, added: “We take immense pride at Air Partner in our ability to successfully deliver time-critical, lifesaving cargo. Our commitment to meticulous planning, our wealth of global experience and our 24/7 support team allows us to navigate any complex challenges that may arise and make a positive impact where it matters most."
