The air cargo and unmanned aircraft industry will meet later this week to discuss the potential for unmanned aircraft to be used to transport freight.

Sponsored by the National Aeronautical Centre (NAC), which was created by West Wales Airport and also counts Newquay Cornwall Airport as a member, and supported by Air Cargo News, the round-table debate will enable an exchange of information that will give all sides a better understanding of each others' dependencies as well as opportunities for unmanned aircraft.

The event aims to identify what the air cargo industry requires for transport operations and what the unmanned industry can provide.

It is hoped this round table will lead to more engagement between the two industries and increase the pace of development.

Air Cargo News will provide coverage of discussions at the event.
