Digital air cargo booking platform cargo.one scooped the Air Business of the Year award at Logistics UK’s Logistics Awards 2022, while CharterSync won the innovation prize.

Cargo.one told Air Cargo News it was "delighted" to win the award.

The award was collected by cargo.one's head of sales Europe & Sales Excellence, Antonia Ambrozy, who said: “UK freight forwarders using cargo.one are achieving great results with real-time digital air cargo booking.

"In addition to delivering depth and diversity of supply, forwarders need a seamless end-to-end digital experience, and this award reflects the work our teams do every day to deliver this”.

Shortlisted companies for the award also included Airport Industrial Property Unit Trust (AIPUT), CharterSync, Kuehne+Nagel and Uniair.

CharterSync was also named winner of the Most Innovative Company of the Year award.

The company said in a LinkedIn post: "We're delighted to share that we won 'Most Innovative Company of the Year' at the Logistics UK Awards.

"At CharterSync, we've had a brilliant year full of incredible milestones and achievements; we've more than doubled our headcount, relaunched our technology and rebranded our company, to name a few - And now what a brilliant end to 2022 with this award!"

Those companies shortlisted included Gemini Corporation NV, Manfreight, McCulla (Ireland) Ltd UK, Mercedes-Benz Trucks UK, Nottingham City Council, PD Ports and PML Ltd.

Around 500 people attended the Awards on December 8 at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel in London.
