Flowserve Corporation has named its logistics provider Agility as Partner of the Year for helping it keep its shipments moving during the recent US ports stoppage.

The Middle East headquartered forwarder was recognised by the US-based provider of and related products and services for its consistent and reliable service, quick response time, flexible solutions and best-in-class shipment tracking.

Above all, it played a critical role during the recent US West Coast port strike by moving Flowserve shipments away from the bottleneck so that there was minimal impact on its revenue.

At the awards, Flowserve’s director of global logistics, Rob Lewin paid tribute to Agility’s “extensive range of services and solutions” that “enable it to deliver sustained value to its customers.”

The Flowserve Partner of the Year Award was introduced to recognize suppliers and vendors that have demonstrated excellence in delivering added-value services.

Agility president and chief executive Essa Al-Saleh, said the award was: “A testament to our effective partnership and underscores our commitment to listen to our customers’ needs and provide them with efficient, innovative and cost-effective freight solutions.”
