Air France KLM Martinair Cargo is implementing the Accenture Air Cargo Reservations software to optimise freight capacity over the carrier’s entire freight network.

The new reservations tool, part of the Accenture Freight & Logistics Software (AFLS) suite, offers customers “complete solutions and booking efficiency,” said the Franco-Dutch carrier. Accenture is a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company.

The carrier is using AFLS software to “create a single view of booking options across AF-KLM Martinair Cargo and partner networks”.

The AFLS software is used for flight profiling activities in addition to allocation management, entry conditions and restrictions. This helps improve booking efficiency and revenue management execution to "further increase both customer satisfaction" and profitability.

“With Accenture’s software we further improve our capability to offer fast and complete solutions to our customers,” said Wijnand de Groot, vice president customer service, AF-KLM Martinair Cargo.

“After extensive preparations and testing, we are pleased to announce that we can book all options in our joint network in one system.”

The AFLS solution automates capacity checks, reduces manual intervention by revenue managers, and provides better insight into space availability. This, said the carrier, makes the air cargo reservations process quicker and more efficient.

“Accenture’s software helps AF-KLM Martinair Cargo to further improve the speed of quotation and booking processes,” said Ganesh Vaideeswaran, managing director, AFLS.

“One seamless system provides an overall view of the network and booking options, helps increase efficiency and revenue management execution, and ultimately raises customer satisfaction and profitability.”
