UK multimodal logistics company Kingscote Rojay Ltd has completed the acquisition of Republic Cargo Systems UK Ltd (RCS UK) to expand its air and ocean freight logistics business.
The acquisition marks a significant milestone for Kingscote, as RCS UK, previously part of the US-based RCS Group, has established itself as a key player in freight services over the past decade.
Peter Phythian, representing the Kingscote board of directors, said: “RCS UK has built a strong reputation in air and ocean freight, and this acquisition presents an incredible opportunity to enhance our reach into key markets, including Europe, North America, and Asia.

Operating out of Solihull in the midlands, RCS UK’s presence complements Kingscote's existing operations in the region. The acquisition is also expected to bolster Kingscote's global expansion plans.
Phythian will assume the role of managing director at RCS UK and manage the integration between the two businesses. While RCS UK will continue to trade under its existing brand for an unspecified time period, it will now function as part of the wider Kingscote group.
