Time-critical logistics firm Danx Carousel has continued with its expansion programme through the acquisition of Germany-based LPR Group.

LPR offers German-wide services covering both night and day-time express services, emergency logistics, and returns management, as well as warehousing and on-site servicing, including the installation, maintenance, and replacement of consumable materials, and on-site repairs.

It has 500 employees, including 200 service engineers working in the field, supported by a repair centre specialising in maintenance, pre-configuration, refurbishment, inspection, and warranty services.

DANX Carousel chief executive Klaus Rud Sejling said: “This strategic acquisition brings LPR’s extensive experience across Germany into the DANX Carousel network. It is part of our ongoing drive to build Europe’s leading time-critical logistics provider. LPR’s regional and technical servicing capabilities complement our own and together we can deliver more comprehensive end-to-end solutions across the full supply chain.”

LPR Group chief executive Michael Bonnes added: ”Following a period of sustained growth across the business, particularly in the retail, healthcare, and IT services sectors, I look forward to working with DANX Carousel as we cement this progress and expand our geographic reach.”

The purchase of LPR is the latest in a series of acquisitions made by Danx Carousel since it was acquired by private equity firm Axcel in 2022.

When the deal was announced, the company said that it would use the invest to expand operations and services as well as invest in new technology.

In July last year, the company purchased UK-based Logik Logistics International to expand its services and its network across Europe.
