Freight forwarder Senator International has added another freighter flight to its operation, this time flying between Frankfurt-Hahn and Johannesburg.
The two-flights-per-week service took off for the first time on November 4 and will utilise a Boeing 747F, with capacity of 100 tonnes per flight.
Senator said it decided to launch the flight in response to strong demand in the region.
“By using exclusive handling areas at both airports, customers benefit from short transit times, efficient cargo handling and fast customs clearance,” the Germany-based forwarder said.
Two years ago, the forwarder launched its Senator Atlantic Bridge between Frankfurt-Hahn and Greenville-Spartanburg to cater for automotive demand.
The flight has since expanded to five flights per week, while the schedule was extended to Mexico in June 2018 with regular departures once a week to and from Querétaro (QRO).
