Kuehne+Nagel (K+N) has opened a new healthcare facility at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport to meet "complex storage needs".
The new fulfillment centre measures 400,000 sq ft and is located around three miles from the airport.
K+N said the site is "fully pharma-grade compliant" and has four cold chambers to meet various storage temperature requirements.
Eduardo Razuck, K+N senior vice president, contract logistics Americas, said: "The investment in a new distribution center in the Dallas/Fort Worth area is the latest step in growing our ever-expanding network focused on supporting our healthcare and pharmaceutical customers."
K+N global head customer development healthcare, contract logistics, added: "Our focus is on the patient, and with ease of access to the significant uplift capacity at the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, we are able to better serve not just our customers, but also patients across the country who depend on these products."
