AEI has entered into a partnership that will see it providing Aviation Holdings III Investments with its fourth B737-800SF freighter conversion.
The order follows Aviation Holdings III Investments placing an order for three AEI B737-800SF conversions in May.
Work on the fourth aircraft (MSN 29040) is expected to start in January next year and will be carried out by China-based HAECO Xiamen, which became an authorized AEI Conversion Center in August 2020.
The conversion of MSN 29040 will be the first carried out by HAECO Xiamen on behalf of AEI.
The AEI-converted B737-800SF freighter offers a maindeck payload of up to 23,904kg and incorporates eleven full height 88in x 125in container positions, plus an additional position for an AEP/AEH. The conversion also incorporates new floor beams aft of the wing box, a large 86in x 137in main cargo door with a single vent door system, and a ancra cargo loading system.
The AEI B737-800SF also includes a rigid 9g barrier, five supernumerary seats as standard, a galley and full lavatory.
