dnata joins forces with leading air-cargo road feeder services provider Wallenborn

dnata has strengthened its Middle East logistics footprint with European road feeder services (RFS) provider Wallenborn Transports.

Wallenborn Transports has completed the acquisition of Agility Global Logistics’ interest in dnata PWC Airport Logistics (DPAL), a Dubai-based RFS provider.

Wallenborn and dnata have confirmed that they will now “develop new products and services, and enter new markets”.

The parties have agreed not to disclose the details of the transaction. The current leadership teams will continue to manage the business and operations.

Bernd Leo Struck, senior vice president UAE Cargo & DWC Airline Services, dnata, and Chairman of DPAL, said: "Joining forces with Wallenborn, a leading air-cargo road feeder services operator, helps us enhance our position in this segment and exploit business opportunities both in the UAE and internationally.

"We thank our previous joint venture partner, Agility, for a long-standing and successful partnership with dnata."

Frantz Wallenborn, president and chief executive of Wallenborn Transports, said: "This new venture supports my long term vision to enhance RFS in the GCC region and make supply chains more effective and efficient.

“We will extend the range and quality of RFS services from, to and within the UAE and invest in digitalisation and environmental initiatives that will create dynamic and sustainable opportunities for our customers."
