Cathay Pacific's B747-400BCF (B-HUS) has made its last revenue flight ahead of its planned retirement at the end of November.

The Hong Kong-based carrier said the move was linked to the modernisation of the Cathay Pacific fleet.

The airline added that its freighter fleet will remain at its current size of 20 aircraft 14 Boeing 747-8Fs and six B747-400ERFs - and that it had no plans to retire any of its other freighter aircraft.

Until the end of last year the aircraft had been flying for Cathay Pacific partner Air Hong Kong.

According to flight tracking websites the freighter was removed from service at the end of August and in September was moved to storage at Marana Pinal Airpark.
