Saudia Cargo has awarded a multi-station contract to Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) in Europe and the US to handle more than 160,000 tonnes of cargo per annum and provide ramp handling for air cargo shipments on more than 5,000 passenger and freighter flights a year.
The three-year agreement is set to strengthen WFS's relationship with Saudia Cargo at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport and other French airports, as well as at Frankfurt, New York JFK and Washington Dulles airports. As part of the tender process, Saudia Cargo conducted technical visits to each WFS station to determine the quality of each facility and to meet local WFS staff responsible for managing its cargo operations.
The contract will also bring new cargo handling business to the UK's London Heathrow and Manchester airports (from October 1), Brussels airport and Amsterdam Schiphol airport (from November 1).
